Art. 29 f. OG; federal appellate jurisdiction is limited to alleged violations of federal law. Questions concerning the proof of facts underlying the applicability of a federal rule, in particular the rebuttal of a paternity presumption arising from acknowledgment and subsequent marriage, are governed by cantonal procedural law and are not reviewable by the Federal Court. Where the complaint attacks only the cantonal court's assessment of evidence and evidentiary refusals for irrelevance, the Federal Court must decline to enter into the appeal for want of competence.
