The Federal Supreme Court did not enter into the civil appeal because the appellant failed to pay the required advance on costs even after an extension and a supplementary deadline. The prior refusal of legal aid was based on the appeal's lack of prospects of success. The Court therefore declared the appeal inadmissible in summary proceedings and ordered the appellant to pay CHF 500 in costs.
Art. 48 cpv. 4, 62 cpv. 3 e 108 cpv. 1 lett. a LTF; non-payment of the required advance on costs after expiry of the deadline and supplementary deadline precludes consideration of the appeal and justifies non-entry in summary proceedings. Where the advance is neither paid nor credited within the prescribed time, and no debit notice is received, the appeal is manifestly inadmissible. Judicial assistance may be refused where the appeal lacks prospects of success; costs follow the outcome under Art. 66 cpv. 1 LTF.

ricorso contro la sentenza emanata il 24 febbraio 2011 dalla II Camera civile del Tribunale d'appello del
Cantone Ticino.
Considerando:
che con sentenza 17 febbraio 2009 il Pretore del distretto di Lugano ha accolto la petizione con cui A.________ ha convenuto in giudizio la B.________SA, chiedendo il pagamento di fr. 45'360.--;
che la II Camera civile del Tribunale di appello del Cantone Ticino ha, con sentenza 24 febbraio 2011, invece respinto la petizione in accoglimento di un'appellazione dell'assicuratore;
che con ricorso in materia civile del 31 marzo 2011 A.________ chiede al Tribunale federale di annullare la sentenza di appello, di riformarla nel senso che la convenuta sia condannata a pagarle fr. 45'360.--, oltre interessi, e di essere posta al beneficio dell'assistenza giudiziaria;
che con decreto 20 settembre 2011 la Corte adita ha respinto la domanda di assistenza giudiziaria per carenza di possibilità di esito favorevole del ricorso e ha invitato la ricorrente a fornire entro il 14 ottobre 2011 un anticipo per le spese presunte del processo di fr. 2'500.--;
che il 17 ottobre 2011 il termine per versare il richiesto anticipo spese è stato prorogato, ad istanza del patrocinatore della ricorrente, fino al 7 novembre 2011;
che il 10 novembre 2011 è stato impartito alla ricorrente il termine suppletorio dell'art. 63 cpv. 3 LTF per effettuare il predetto pagamento entro il 25 novembre 2011;
che il 14 novembre 2011 il patrocinatore della ricorrente ha annunciato l'intenzione di non provvedere al versamento in discussione;
che il 1° dicembre 2011 la Cassa del Tribunale federale ha constatato che il richiesto anticipo spese non è stato pagato né accreditato sul suo conto postale e che non le è pervenuto alcun avviso di addebito di un conto bancario o postale;
che in queste circostanze il Tribunale federale non può entrare nel merito del ricorso (art. 48 cpv. 4 e 62 cpv. 3 LTF);
che pertanto il ricorso si rivela manifestamente inammissibile e va deciso dalla Presidente della Corte adita nella procedura semplificata (art. 108 cpv. 1 lett. a LTF);
che le spese giudiziarie seguono la soccombenza (art. 66 cpv. 1 LTF);
per questi motivi, la Presidente pronuncia:

Il ricorso è inammissibile.
2.
Le spese giudiziarie di fr. 500.-- sono poste a carico della ricorrente.
3.
Comunicazione ai patrocinatori delle parti e alla II Camera civile del Tribunale d'appello del Cantone Ticino.
