The appellant withdrew his appeal against the Aargau High Court's decision in a dispute concerning conciliation proceedings. The Swiss Federal Supreme Court therefore struck the case off the docket as withdrawn. It ordered the appellant to pay court costs of CHF 500 under Art. 66 BGG. The order was issued by a single judge of the First Civil Law Division.

dass der Beschwerdeführer kostenpflichtig ist (Art. 66 BGG);
Das Verfahren wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Aargau, Zivilgericht, 4. Kammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.

The proceedings were struck off because the appeal had been withdrawn.
Once the appellant withdrew the appeal by letter of 24 January 2014, the case had to be removed from the docket as concluded by withdrawal.
