ricorso in materia penale contro la sentenza emanata
il 4 dicembre 2008 dalla Camera dei ricorsi penali del Tribunale d'appello del Cantone Ticino.

Ritenuto in fatto e considerando in diritto:

Con sentenza del 4 dicembre 2008, la Corte dei ricorsi penali del Tribunale d'appello del Cantone Ticino (CRP) ha dichiarato irricevibile l'istanza di promozione dell'accusa presentata da A.________ contro il decreto di non luogo a procedere emanato il 12 settembre 2008 dal Sostituto Procuratore pubblico.

Con scritto del 15 dicembre 2008, A.________ inoltra un ricorso al Tribunale federale, chiedendo la "condanna per lesioni colpose gravi e omissione della sicurezza" di B.________ della C.________SA e del capo cantiere della ditta D.________SA, col "giusto riconoscimento dell'invalidità sofferta e la giusta liquidazione del danno subito". Formula inoltre domanda di assistenza giudiziaria.

Non sono state chieste osservazioni sul gravame.

L'oggetto del ricorso in materia penale è la decisione dell'autorità cantonale di ultima istanza (art. 80 cpv. 1 LTF). Giusta l'art. 42 cpv. 1 e 2 LTF, il ricorso deve contenere le conclusioni e i motivi in cui occorre spiegare in modo conciso perché l'atto impugnato viola il diritto. Tenuto conto di questa esigenza di motivazione, il Tribunale federale esamina in linea di principio solo le censure sollevate e debitamente motivate non essendo tenuto a vagliare tutte le questioni giuridiche che si pongono, se quest'ultime non sono presentate nella sede federale.

Nella fattispecie, il ricorrente sostiene che il Procuratore pubblico abbia applicato in maniera errata il diritto, ma non spiega in alcun modo perché e in che misura la decisione della CRP, unico oggetto di ricorso in questa sede, violi il diritto. In simili circostanze, il ricorso si palesa manifestamente inammissibile in quanto non motivato in modo sufficiente e può pertanto essere evaso mediante la procedura semplificata dell'art. 108 LTF.

La domanda di assistenza giudiziaria non può trovare accoglimento, perché, oltre a non documentare lo stato di bisogno dell'istante (v. DTF 125 IV 161 consid. 4), il ricorso appariva sin dall'inizio privo di esito di successo (art. 64 cpv. 1 LTF). Le spese giudiziarie, ridotte, sono di conseguenza poste a carico del ricorrente soccombente (art. 66 cpv. 1 LTF).

Per questi motivi, il presidente pronuncia:

Il ricorso è inammissibile.

2.
Le spese giudiziarie di fr. 500.-- sono poste a carico del ricorrente.

3.
Comunicazione alle parti e alla Camera dei ricorsi penali del Tribunale d'appello del Cantone Ticino.
