The private complainant appealed a cantonal acquittal for false testimony to the Federal Court. After being asked to pay an advance on costs and learning that the public prosecutor had filed a parallel appeal, he withdrew his own appeal. The single judge of the Federal Criminal Court struck the case from the docket and, using the discretion granted by the Federal Supreme Court Act, decided not to levy any court costs.
Art. 32 cpv. 1 e 2 LTF; withdrawal of an appeal and costs. When a remedy is withdrawn, the instructing judge may order the case struck from the docket by single judge. In that context, the court also decides on costs and may, under Art. 66 cpv. 2 LTF, waive court costs wholly or partly, including where the withdrawal occurred after an advance on costs had been requested (consid. 1-2).

Falsa testimonianza; arbitrio,
ricorso in materia penale contro la sentenza emanata il 14 dicembre 2012 dalla Corte di appello e di revisione penale del Cantone Ticino.
Considerando:
che con sentenza del 14 dicembre 2012 la Corte di appello e di revisione penale del Cantone Ticino (CARP) ha accolto l'appello di B.________, prosciogliendolo dall'accusa di falsa testimonianza;
che avverso questo giudizio l'accusatore privato A.________ ha adito il Tribunale federale con ricorso in materia penale;
che, in seguito alla richiesta di fornire l'anticipo delle spese giudiziarie presunte e dopo aver appreso che anche il Ministero pubblico del Cantone Ticino ha impugnato la sentenza della CARP con un parallelo ricorso in materia penale innanzi a questo Tribunale, con scritto del 21 marzo 2013 A.________ ha dichiarato di ritirare il suo gravame;
che il presidente o il giudice dell'istruzione della Corte decide quale giudice unico circa lo stralcio dal ruolo delle cause ritirate (art. 32 cpv. 1 e 2 LTF) e, in tale ambito, statuisce sulle spese giudiziarie (art. 5 cpv. 2 PC in relazione con l'art. 71 LTF);
che, in caso di desistenza, il Tribunale federale può rinunciare in tutto o in parte a riscuotere le spese giudiziarie (art. 66 cpv. 2 LTF);
che nella fattispecie si può rinunciare a prelevare spese processuali;
per questi motivi, il Giudice unico decreta:

La causa è stralciata dai ruoli a seguito del ritiro del ricorso.
2.
Non si prelevano spese giudiziarie.
3.
Comunicazione ai patrocinatori delle parti, al Ministero pubblico e alla Corte di appello e di revisione penale del Cantone Ticino.

The appeal was struck from the docket following the appellant's withdrawal.
