The appellant challenged a cantonal non-prosecution order concerning forgery in certificates before the Federal Supreme Court. By letter of 7 December 2007, he withdrew the appeal. The President therefore ordered the case struck off the docket and waived judicial costs. The order was communicated to the parties and to the cantonal review commission.
Withdrawal of an appeal before the Federal Supreme Court; if the appellant expressly withdraws the remedy in writing, the proceedings are terminated by striking the case off the docket. In such a situation, the court may waive judicial costs and issue a procedural order without further examination of the merits.
