AN ACT
Authorizing county treasurers to charge and deduct commissions
from school, road and all other municipal taxes collected and
paid over by them to the proper authorities.
WHEREAS, It has heretofore been the custom, in all or many of
the counties of this Commonwealth, for county treasurers to

as hereafter may be legally allowed them for the collection and
disbursement of county taxes: Provided, That such rate shall in
no case exceed five per centum of the whole amount so collected
and paid over. 1887, May 23, P.L. 178, Sec. 1.
Section 2. Auditing of taxes
The accounts of county treasurers for taxes mentioned in the
first section of this act, collected by them, shall be audited
and settled by the county auditors at the same time and in the
same manner as is now provided by law for the audit and
settlement of county taxes collected by county treasurers.
