Pennsylvania Act 1895-124 — MEMBERSHIP OF BOARD OF HEALTH

AN ACT

To provide for the more effectual protection of the public health in the several municipalities of this Commonwealth.

Section 20. Membership of board of health; employees

No justice of the peace, member of council, or other officers, except school directors, constables, or election officers, shall, at the same time, be a member of the board of health of such municipality, or hold any office or appointment under the same. 1895, June 18, P.L. 203, Sec. 20; 1903, April 3, P.L. 138, Sec. 1.

Compiler's Note: Section 28 of Act 207 of 2004 provided that any and all references in any other law to a "district justice" or "justice of the peace" shall be deemed to be references to a magisterial district judge.
