                                  AN ACT

     Amending Title 54 (Names) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
        Statutes, restricting the use of "911."

        The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     hereby enacts as follows:

        Section 1.  Section 311(f)(9) of Title 54 of the Pennsylvania
     Consolidated Statutes is amended and the section is amended by
     adding a paragraph to read:
      § 311.  Registration.
        * * *
        (f)  Required approvals.--The fictitious name shall not
     contain:
            * * *
            (9)  The number "911" unless the entity is a public
        agency located in whole or in part within the Commonwealth
        and is authorized by law to provide emergency telephone
        service for firefighting, law enforcement, ambulance,
        emergency medical or other emergency services.
            [(9)] (10)  Any word or phrase not permitted by law to be
        filed under this chapter without governmental consent unless
        there is submitted to the department written evidence of such
        consent.
        Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
