SEM is responsible for the security of MIDES and the legality of the processing of personal data.
The Federal Council shall regulate:
1. the organisation and operation of MIDES;
2. the catalogue of personal data to be processed;
3. rights of access;
4. technical and organisational protective measures against unauthorised processing;
5. the length of time that data may be stored;
6. the archiving and destruction of data on expiry of the storage period.
