Commentaries: Art. 1058

Payment for honour is permitted in all cases in which the holder has a right of recourse at or before maturity.
The payment for honour must comprise the full amount payable by the party liable on the bill for whom it is made.
It must take place no later than the day after the day on which the time limit for protest for non-payment expires.
