  1. The applicant must pay the filing fee within the time limit set by the IPI.
  2. If the list of goods or services of the filed trade mark includes more than three classes, the applicant must pay a surcharge for each additional class. The IPI shall determine the number of classes subject to a surcharge in accordance with the list of classes under the Nice Agreement1.
  3. The class surcharge must be paid within the time limit set by the IPI.
