The costs for auxiliary materials do not need to be allocated to the manufacturing costs if:

  1. the auxiliary materials are of completely secondary significance to the characteristics of the products; and
  2. the costs for the auxiliary materials are negligible in comparison to the manufacturing costs of the product.
