Das UVEK erlässt zur Tunnelsicherheit Weisungen. Dabei hält es sich an die Richtlinie 2004/54/EG des Europäischen Parlaments und des Rates vom 29. April 20041über Mindestanforderungen an die Sicherheit von Tunneln im transeuropäischen Strassennetz oder eine entsprechende Nachfolgeregelung.
