The “.ch” domain has the following characteristics:
it constitutes a top-level country domain managed by the Confederation;
the domain names which are subordinate to it may be allocated to or used by any physical and moral person;
the registrar function is exercised in free competition by all the entities which have concluded a registrar contract with the Registry.
The Registry establishes a dispute resolution service within the meaning of Article 14.
