  1. The cantons shall designate a point of contact, which is responsible for receiving notifications of major accidents at any time and immediately alerting the emergency services.
  2. The cantons shall also ensure that a central office is designated, which immediately forwards notifications of major accidents to the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) Emergency Desk (ASN).1
