The competent federal authorities shall inform the public of:
the geographical location of establishments, transport routes and pipeline installations;
the adjoining areas in accordance with Article 11a paragraph 2.
In the event of major accidents which could have significant effects beyond national borders, the competent federal authorities shall inform the relevant Swiss missions abroad and the foreign authorities concerned.
