Das BLV kann nach Anhören der Kantone für empfängliche Tiere Impfungen gegen Blauzungen- oder EHD-Viren vorschreiben. In diesem Fall bestimmt es in einer Verordnung die Gebiete, in denen eine Impfung vorgeschrieben ist, sowie Art und Einsatz der Impfstoffe.
