The National Bank shall issue an order designating systemically important financial market infrastructures and their systemically important business processes pursuant to Article 22 FinMIA1.
The National Bank shall request from the operator the necessary information and documentation, and set the deadline and the format for their submission.
Before designating a financial market infrastructure as systemically important and determining its systemically important business processes, the National Bank shall provide the operator with the opportunity to express an opinion. If the operator is a financial market infrastructure subject to authorisation in accordance with Article 4 FinMIA, the National Bank shall consult FINMA.
