(Art. 69 CISA)
The following investments are specifically admitted for other funds:
securities;
units in collective investment schemes;
money market instruments;
sight and time deposits with a term of up to twelve months;
precious metals;
derivative financial instruments whose underlyings are securities, collective investment schemes, money market instruments, derivative financial instruments, indices, interest rates, exchange rates, loans, currencies, precious metals, commodities or similar instruments;
structured products relating to securities, collective investment schemes, money market instruments, derivative financial instruments, indices, interest rates, exchange rates, currencies, precious metals, commodities or similar instruments.
In the case of other funds for alternative investments, FINMA may admit other investments such as commodities and the corresponding commodity certificates.1
Investments as defined in Article 69 paragraph 2 CISA must be explicitly named in the fund regulations.
In the case of investments in units of collective investment schemes, Article 73 paragraph 4 applies accordingly.
