In Erwägung,
dass die III. Strafkammer des Obergerichts des Kantons Zürich mit Beschluss vom 11. September 2012 der Staatsanwaltschaft die Ermächtigung zur Strafverfolgung nicht erteilt hat;
dass X.________ mit Eingabe vom 21. Januar 2013 (Postaufgabe 22. Januar 2013) Beschwerde in öffentlich-rechtlichen Angelegenheiten gegen den Beschluss der III. Strafkammer des Obergerichts des Kantons Zürich vom 11. September 2012 erhoben hat;
dass nach Art. 42 Abs. 2 BGG in der Begründung einer Beschwerde in gedrängter Form darzulegen ist, inwiefern der angefochtene Entscheid Recht verletzt;
dass der Beschwerdeführer, der keinen zulässigen Beschwerdegrund nennt, nicht darlegt, inwiefern die dem obergerichtlichen Beschluss zugrunde liegende Begründung bzw. der Beschluss selber im Ergebnis rechts- bzw. verfassungswidrig sein soll;
dass die Beschwerde gegen den Beschluss der III. Strafkammer des Obergerichts des Kantons Zürich den gesetzlichen Formerfordernissen (Art. 42 Abs. 2 und Art. 106 Abs. 2 BGG; vgl. in diesem Zusammenhang BGE 136 I 49 E. 1.4.1 S. 53, 65 E. 1.3.1 S. 68 mit Hinweisen) offensichtlich nicht genügt, weshalb auf sie im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG nicht einzutreten ist;
dass somit offen bleiben kann, ob die Beschwerde überhaupt rechtzeitig erhoben worden ist (vgl. Art. 100 Abs. 1 BGG);

dass auf eine Kostenauflage verzichtet werden kann (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG);

erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

Es werden keine Kosten erhoben.

Dieses Urteil wird dem Beschwerdeführer, der Staatsanwaltschaft Zürich-Sihl und dem Obergericht des Kantons Zürich, III. Strafkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
