Considérant en fait et en droit:

Par un arrêt rendu le 28 décembre 2007, le Tribunal administratif du canton de Vaud a rejeté un recours formé par A.________ contre une décision du Service des automobiles et de la navigation (SAN) lui retirant un permis de circulation pour un véhicule. Le 26 janvier 2008, A.________ a adressé au Tribunal fédéral une écriture dans laquelle il critiquait l'arrêt précité. Il a ensuite précisé oralement que cette écriture devait être considérée comme un recours. Après avoir été invité à effectuer une avance de frais (art. 62 LTF), il a déclaré par écrit le 3 mars 2008 qu'il retirait son recours.

Aux termes de l'art. 32 al. 2 LTF, le juge instructeur du Tribunal fédéral statue comme juge unique sur la radiation du rôle des procédures devenues sans objet ou achevées par un retrait ou une transaction judiciaire. Il se justifie de ne pas percevoir de frais judiciaires (art. 65 et 66 LTF).
Par ces motifs, le Juge unique ordonne:

La cause est rayée du rôle, par suite de retrait du recours.
2.
Il n'est pas perçu de frais judiciaires.
3.
La présente ordonnance est communiquée au recourant, au Service des automobiles et de la navigation et au Tribunal cantonal du canton de Vaud, Cour de droit administratif et public.
