Omnilex summary

The Federal Supreme Court did not enter into the appellant's complaint against the Zug High Court's non-entry decision concerning alleged forgery. The decisive point was the appellant's failure to challenge the lower court's finding that he lacked standing, so the filing did not satisfy the Federal Supreme Court's reasoning requirements. His request for free legal aid was rejected as hopeless. Court costs of CHF 500 were imposed on him, taking his financial situation into account.

Omnilex headnote

Art. 42 Abs. 2 BGG, Art. 108 BGG; a federal complaint is inadmissible where it does not engage with the decisive reasoning of the challenged decision. If the appellant omits any submissions on the lower court's dispositive ground, the Federal Supreme Court does not examine alternative reasoning. Legal aid under Art. 64 BGG is denied where the appeal lacks prospects of success; costs are imposed under Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG, with regard to the party's financial circumstances under Art. 65 Abs. 2 BGG.

Urteil vom 27. Januar 2014

Strafrechtliche Abteilung

Besetzung
Bundesrichter Schneider, Einzelrichter,
Gerichtsschreiber C. Monn.

Verfahrensbeteiligte
X.________,
Beschwerdeführer,

gegen

Staatsanwaltschaft des Kantons Zug,
An der Aa 4, 6300 Zug,
Beschwerdegegnerin.

Gegenstand
Nichtanhandnahme (Urkundenfälschung),

Beschwerde gegen den Beschluss des Obergerichts des Kantons Zug, I. Beschwerdeabteilung, vom 3. Dezember 2013.

Der Einzelrichter zieht in Erwägung:

1.
