X._______ a saisi le Tribunal fédéral d'un recours en matière pénale contre l'arrêt rendu le 12 décembre 2007 par le Tribunal d'accusation du Tribunal cantonal vaudois. Cette autorité avait écarté le recours de l'intéressé contre une ordonnance de non-lieu à la suite de sa plainte accusant une ex-amie d'appropriation illégitime.

Invité à verser une avance de frais de 1000 fr., le recourant ne s'est pas exécuté.
Considérant en droit:
Conformément à l'art. 62 al. 3 LTF, un délai supplémentaire au 20 mai 2008 a été imparti au recourant avec la mention que, faute de paiement, le recours serait déclaré irrecevable. Ce délai est désormais échu. Le Tribunal fédéral n'a reçu aucun versement, ce qui entraîne l'irrecevabilité du recours (art. 62 al. 3 et 108 al. 1 let. a LTF).
Le recourant supporte les frais (art. 66 al. 1 LTF).
Par ces motifs, le Président prononce:

Le recours est irrecevable.

Les frais judiciaires, arrêtés à 500 fr., sont mis à la charge du recourant.

Le présent arrêt est communiqué aux parties et au Tribunal d'accusation du Tribunal cantonal du canton de Vaud.
