Das Präsidium der II. sozialrechtlichen Abteilung hat nach Einsicht

in die von B.________ am 17. August 2007 erhobene Beschwerde gegen den Entscheid des Verwaltungsgerichts des Kantons Bern vom 29. Juni 2007 betreffend Eingaben vom 4. und 10. Mai 2007,
in Erwägung
dass die Partei, die das Bundesgericht anruft, einen Kostenvorschuss in der Höhe der mutmasslichen Gerichtskosten zu leisten hat (Art. 62 Abs. 1 BGG),
dass das Präsidium der II. sozialrechtlichen Abteilung B.________ mit Verfügung vom 20. August 2007 aufgefordert hat, spätestens am 3. September 2007 einen Kostenvorschuss von Fr. 500.- einzuzahlen,
dass die Verfügung B.________ nicht innert der postalischen Abholfrist von 7 Tagen bis am 28. August 2007 ausgehändigt werden konnte und der Kostenvorschuss innert der gesetzten Frist nicht bezahlt worden ist,
dass das Präsidium der II. sozialrechtlichen Abteilung B.________ mit Verfügung vom 12. September 2007 Nachfrist zur Vorschussleistung bis zum 24. September 2007 angesetzt hat, verbunden mit der Androhung, dass mangels Nachweises der rechtzeitigen Vorschusszahlung auf das Rechtsmittel nicht eingetreten werde (Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG),
dass die Verfügung B.________ erneut nicht innert der postalischen Abholfrist bis am 20. September 2007 ausgehändigt werden konnte und der Vorschuss auch innert der erstreckten Frist nicht geleistet worden ist,
dass androhungsgemäss nach Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG zu verfahren ist,
dass von der Erhebung von Gerichtskosten unter den gegebenen Umständen abzusehen ist (Art. 66 Abs. 1 zweiter Satz BGG),
im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG

erkannt :

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Verwaltungsgericht des Kantons Bern, Sozialversicherungsrechtliche Abteilung, dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen und der Ausgleichskasse des Kantons Bern zugestellt.
