in die Beschwerde vom 17. Oktober 2012 (Poststempel) gegen den Entscheid des Sozialversicherungsgerichts des Kantons Zürich vom 31. August 2012 betreffend Rückforderung von AHV-Rentenzahlungen (Erlassgesuch von E.________),

in Erwägung,
dass ein Rechtsmittel gemäss Art. 42 Abs. 1 und 2 BGG unter anderem die Begehren und deren Begründung zu enthalten hat, wobei in der Begründung in gedrängter Form darzulegen ist, inwiefern der angefochtene Akt Recht verletzt,
dass die Beschwerde diesen inhaltlichen Mindestanforderungen offenkundig nicht genügt, da sie keinen rechtsgenüglichen Antrag enthält und den Ausführungen nicht entnommen werden kann, inwiefern die Sachverhaltsfeststellung im Sinne von Art. 97 Abs. 1 BGG - soweit überhaupt beanstandet - offensichtlich unzutreffend und die darauf beruhenden Erwägungen rechtsfehlerhaft sein sollten, kommen doch die Vorbringen über eine appellatorische Kritik nicht hinaus, welche im Rahmen von Art. 97 Abs. 1/Art. 105 Abs. 1 und 2 BGG nicht ausreicht,
dass insbesondere auch nicht dargetan wird, inwiefern die Vorinstanz mit ihrem Entscheid gegen das Rechtsgleichheitsgebot verstossen hätte und warum das bis zu einer Gesetzesänderung rechtskonforme Vorgehen der Verwaltung eine rechtswidrige Diskriminierung von Ehepaaren darstellen sollte,
dass die Eingabe vom 17. Oktober 2012, weil unzureichend begründet, kein gültiges Rechtsmittel darstellt,
dass es sich im Übrigen bei dem Mitarbeiter des Rechtsdienstes der SVA Zürich (lic. iur. H. S.________) und dem Gerichtsschreiber der III. Kammer des Sozialversicherungsgerichts des Kantons Zürich (Dr. iur. W. S.________), entgegen der beschwerdeführerischen Mutmassung, um zwei verschiedene Personen handelt,
dass deshalb im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG auf die Beschwerde nicht einzutreten ist und in Anwendung von Art. 66 Abs. 1 Satz 2 BGG auf die Erhebung von Gerichtskosten verzichtet wird,
erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.

3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Sozialversicherungsgericht des Kantons Zürich und dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen schriftlich mitgeteilt.
