In this appeal, Jerry James Dumas challenges the district court’s denial of his
motion to suppress evidence gathered and statements Dumas made when, in an
effort to identify fugitives, officers stopped the car Dumas occupied. Dumas
argues on appeal, as he did before the district court, that the officers who arrested
him lacked reasonable suspicion to justify an investigatory stop, as required by
Terry v. Ohio, 392 U.S. 1, 88 S. Ct. 1868 (1968).
After carefully considering the parties’ briefs and having the benefit of oral
argument, we conclude that the district court did not err in denying the motion to
suppress.
AFFIRMED.
