Preamble

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EC) No 318/2006 of 20 February 2006 on the common organisation of the market in the sugar sector ¹ , and in particular the fourth subparagraph of Article 33(2) thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Export refunds on the products listed in Article 1(1)(c), (d) and (g) of Regulation (EC) No 318/2006 were fixed from 25 July 2008 by Commission Regulation (EC) No 712/2008 ² .

(2) In the light of additional information available to the Commission, related in particular to the change in the relation between prices in the internal and world market, it is necessary to adjust export refunds currently applying.

(3) Regulation (EC) No 712/2008 should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 1

The Annex to Regulation (EC) No 712/2008 is replaced by the text in the Annex to this Regulation.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 August 2008.

Final provisions
