AN ACT

Amending the act of October 11, 1995 (1st Sp.Sess., P.L.1066, No.23), entitled "An act providing for expedited eviction of drug traffickers; providing remedies; conferring powers and duties upon the Department of Health; and making an appropriation," adding the definition of "court"; and making an editorial change.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. Section 1 of the act of October 11, 1995 (1st Sp.Sess., P.L.1066, No.23), known as the Model Expedited Eviction of Drug Traffickers Act, is amended to read:

Section 1. Short title.

This act shall be known and may be cited as the [Model] Expedited Eviction of Drug Traffickers Act.

Section 2. Section 3 of the act is amended by adding a definition to read:

Section 3. Definitions.

The following words and phrases when used in this act shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

"Court." The court of common pleas for the county in which the leased residential premises is located.

Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
