CHUCK MATTEI INTERCHANGE - DESIGNATION
                  Act of Jul. 15, 2004, P.L. 745, No. 90              Cl. 87
                                  AN ACT

     Designating Exit 182 on Interstate 81 in Lackawanna County as
        the Chuck Mattei Interchange.

        The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     hereby enacts as follows:

     Section 1.  Chuck Mattei Interchange.
        (a)  Findings.--The General Assembly finds that:
            (1)  Chuck Mattei was the district engineer of the
        Department of Transportation's Engineering District 4-0 for
        many years and worked tirelessly in the implementation and
        design of road improvement projects in Lackawanna County.
            (2)  Mr. Mattei was especially dedicated to the
        implementation and design of the new interchange on
        Interstate 81 at Exit 182 in Lackawanna County.
        (b)  Designation authorized.--Exit 182 on Interstate 81 in
     Lackawanna County is hereby designated the Chuck Mattei
     Interchange.
        (c)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect
     appropriate signs at each end of the interchange displaying the
     designation established in this section.
     Section 2.  Effective date.
        This act shall take effect in 60 days.
