AN ACT

Amending the act of July 9, 1990 (P.L.340, No.78), entitled "An act providing for a Statewide emergency telephone number 911 system; providing for contributions from telephone subscribers; providing a penalty; and making a repeal," further providing for the Wireless E-911 Emergency Services Fund.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. Section 11.4(h) of the act of July 9, 1990 (P.L.340, No.78), known as the Public Safety Emergency Telephone Act, added December 30, 2003 (P.L.384, No.56), is amended to read:

Section 11.4. Wireless E-911 Emergency Services Fund.

(h) Surcharge sunset.--The wireless E-911 surcharge fee established in subsection (b) shall terminate on June 30, [2009] 2014 , unless extended by an act of the General Assembly.

Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
