The appellant challenged a cantonal appellate decision in a tenancy matter but failed to pay the ordered cost advance even within the additional deadline fixed by the Federal Supreme Court. The Court therefore refused to enter into the appeal in simplified proceedings. It also ordered court costs of CHF 500 against the appellant.
Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG; Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG; non-payment of the cost advance within the extended deadline leads to non-entry in simplified proceedings. If the appellant does not comply with the order to pay the advance of costs, the appeal is inadmissible without further examination on the merits. Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG governs the allocation of court costs to the unsuccessful party (consid. 1).

dass die Gerichtskosten dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG);
Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Bern, Zivilabteilung, 2. Zivilkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
