The appellant challenged a cantonal judgment on provisional measures before the Federal Supreme Court. While the federal proceedings were stayed, the Vaud cantonal review court annulled the challenged judgment and remitted the case for new instruction and a new appellate decision. The appellant then declared the federal appeals withdrawn insofar as they were no longer moot. The Federal Supreme Court took note of the withdrawal, struck the case from the roll, and charged the appellant with CHF 300 in court costs.
Art. 73 PCF in conjunction with Art. 71 LTF and Art. 32 al. 2 LTF; mootness after annulment of the challenged decision. If the decision under appeal is annulled by the cantonal authority, the federal appeal loses its object; the Court takes note of the withdrawal and removes the matter from the docket. In such circumstances, the withdrawing party ordinarily bears the judicial costs under Art. 66 al. 1 and 2 LTF.

l'ordonnance présidentielle du 5 décembre 2007, suspendant l'instruction des recours jusqu'à droit connu sur un recours en nullité déposé parallèlement auprès de la Chambre des recours du Tribunal cantonal vaudois;
l'arrêt rendu par cette autorité le 10 mars 2008, aux termes duquel le recours en nullité est admis, l'arrêt sur appel du Tribunal d'arrondissement du 31 octobre 2007 annulé et la cause renvoyée à ce tribunal pour nouvelle instruction et nouvel arrêt sur appel;
la déclaration de retrait des recours déposés au Tribunal fédéral, "dans la mesure où ils sont désormais sans objet", du 3 avril 2008;
considérant:
que l'arrêt attaqué ayant été annulé, les recours au Tribunal fédéral n'ont effectivement plus d'objet, de sorte qu'il convient de prendre acte de leur retrait et de rayer la cause du rôle (art. 73 PCF par renvoi de l'art. 71 LTF; art. 32 al. 2 LTF);
que le recourant doit être chargé des frais judiciaires conformément à l'art. 66 al. 1 et 2 LTF;
par ces motifs, le Président ordonne:

Il est pris acte du retrait des recours et la cause est rayée du rôle.
2.
Les frais judiciaires, arrêtés à 300 fr., sont mis à la charge du recourant.
3.
La présente ordonnance est communiquée aux parties, au Tribunal civil de l'arrondissement de la Côte et à la Chambre des recours du Tribunal cantonal du canton de Vaud.

Whether the Federal Supreme Court proceedings became moot after the cantonal appeal judgment was annulled.
The appeals had no remaining object and were therefore withdrawn and stricken from the docket.
Because the challenged judgment had been annulled by the cantonal authority, the Federal Supreme Court proceedings no longer had a live object; the Court took note of the withdrawal and removed the case from the roll.
