The Federal Supreme Court did not enter into the criminal complaint because the advance costs of CHF 2,000 were not paid within the set deadline. The appellants had requested an extension through their son while they were abroad, but the Court held that the son was not authorized to represent them in criminal matters and that no exceptional unforeseeable impediment justified a further extension of the non-extendable grace period. Court costs of CHF 800 were imposed on the appellants jointly and severally.

Beschwerde gegen den Entscheid des Obergerichts des Kantons Aargau, Beschwerdekammer in Strafsachen, vom 26. April 2010.

Der Präsident zieht in Erwägung:

Den Beschwerdeführern wurden mit Verfügungen vom 25. Mai und 21 Juni 2010 eine Frist bis 15. Juni 2010 bzw. die gesetzlich vorgesehene Nachfrist bis 12. Juli 2010 angesetzt, um dem Bundesgericht einen Kostenvorschuss von Fr. 2'000.-- einzuzahlen, ansonsten auf das Rechtsmittel nicht eingetreten werde.

Am 23. Juni 2010 teilte der Sohn der Beschwerdeführer dem Bundesgericht mit, die Eltern seien am 16. Juni 2010 nach Rumänien verreist. Da er in ihrer Abwesenheit nur Geschäfte bis zu maximal Fr. 1'000.-- tätigen dürfe, ersuche er um eine Fristerstreckung bis 12. August 2010 (act. 10).

Abgesehen davon, dass der Sohn in Strafsachen vor Bundesgericht nicht zur Vertretung der Beschwerdeführer befugt ist (Art. 40 Abs. 1 BGG), kann das Gesuch um Fristerstreckung nicht bewilligt werden. Eine ausdrücklich als nicht erstreckbar bezeichnete Nachfrist kann grundsätzlich nicht nochmals verlängert werden, vorbehältlich ganz besonderer, nicht voraussehbarer Hinderungsgründe. Solche Gründe liegen hier nicht vor. Die Beschwerdeführer haben die erste Verfügung vom 25. Mai 2010 am 26. Mai 2010 gemäss Empfangsbestätigung persönlich entgegengenommen. Sie hätten somit vor ihrer Abreise am 16. Juni 2010 das Notwendige vorkehren können.

Der Sohn ersucht um eine "beschwerdefähige Verfügung" (act. 14). Gegen den Entscheid des Präsidenten in Bezug auf den Kostenvorschuss gibt es indessen kein Rechtsmittel.

Da der Kostenvorschuss innert Frist nicht bezahlt wurde, ist auf die Beschwerde im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG nicht einzutreten.

Die Gerichtskosten sind den Beschwerdeführern je zur Hälfte unter solidarischer Haftung aufzuerlegen (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG).

Demnach erkennt der Präsident:

Das Gesuch um Erstreckung der Nachfrist zur Zahlung des Kostenvorschusses wird abgewiesen.

2.
Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

3.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 800.-- werden den Beschwerdeführern je zur Hälfte unter solidarischer Haftung auferlegt.

4.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Aargau, Beschwerdekammer in Strafsachen, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
