The Federal Supreme Court held that the criminal appeal was inadmissible because the appellant did not contest the decisive ground of the cantonal ruling, namely his irrevocable waiver of appeal declared at first instance. Arguments on the timeliness of the appeal notice and on the merits could not be examined. The court therefore issued a summary non-entry decision and charged the appellant with CHF 800 in court costs.

Der Einzelrichter zieht in Erwägung:

Das Obergericht des Kantons Bern trat am 8. Juli 2013 auf eine Berufung nicht ein, weil der Beschwerdeführer an der erstinstanzlichen Verhandlung erklärt hatte, dass er auf eine Berufung verzichte, und dieser Verzicht endgültig war (Beschluss S. 2/3 E. 3). Mit der Frage des Berufungsverzichts befasst sich der Beschwerdeführer in seiner Eingabe vom 11. September 2013 nicht, weshalb diese den Anforderungen von Art. 42 Abs. 2 BGG nicht entspricht. Auch wenn sich die Vorinstanz in einer Zusatzerwägung zur ihrer Ansicht nach rechtzeitigen Berufungsanmeldung geäussert hat (Beschluss S. 3 E. 4), kann sich das Bundesgericht damit nicht befassen, da es für den Ausgang der Sache nicht von Bedeutung war. Ebenfalls nicht befassen kann sich das Bundesgericht mit der materiellen Seite des Falles. Auf die Beschwerde ist im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG nicht einzutreten.

Die Gerichtskosten sind dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG).

Demnach erkennt der Einzelrichter:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

2.

Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 800.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

3.

Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Bern, Strafabteilung, 2. Strafkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
