The Federal Supreme Court dealt with a complaint in an accident-insurance case after the appellant had been ordered to pay an advance on costs following the رفض of legal aid. After he informed the Court that he would not pay the advance and could not continue the matter, the single judge held that non-entry was mandatory. The complaint was therefore not examined on the merits, and the appellant was ordered to pay court costs of CHF 150.
Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG; Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a and Abs. 2 BGG; non-payment of the advance on costs after definitive warning and refusal of legal aid leads to non-entry in simplified proceedings. Where the appellant expressly declares that he will not pay the advance, the condition for further prosecution of the appeal is lacking and the Court may decide without examining the merits (consid. 1). Costs follow the outcome under Art. 66 Abs. 1 and 3 BGG.

in die Beschwerde vom 12. August 2013 (Poststempel) gegen den Entscheid des Versicherungsgerichts des Kantons Solothurn vom 15. Juli 2013,
in die Verfügung vom 10. September 2013, mit welcher das Gesuch des K.________ um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege abgewiesen und er zur Bezahlung eines Kostenvorschusses von Fr. 800.- innert einer Nachfrist bis zum 24. Oktober 2013 verpflichtet wurde, ansonsten auf das Rechtsmittel nicht eingetreten werde,
in die Verfügung vom 8. Oktober 2013, mit der das Wiedererwägungsgesuch des K.________ betreffend die Verfügung vom 10. September 2013 abgewiesen und er aufgefordert wurde, innert nicht verlängerbarer Nachfrist von 10 Tagen seit Empfang dieser Verfügung einen Kostenvorschuss von Fr. 800.- einzuzahlen, anderenfalls auf die Beschwerde nicht eingetreten werde,
in Erwägung,
dass der Beschwerdeführer dem Bundesgericht mit Schreiben vom 21. Oktober 2013 mitgeteilt hat, er bezahle den Kostenvorschuss nicht und könne die Sache nicht weiterführen,
dass deshalb gestützt auf Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a und Abs. 2 BGG auf die Beschwerde nicht einzutreten ist und der Beschwerdeführer nach Art. 66 Abs. 1 und 3 BGG kostenpflichtig wird,
Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 150.- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Versicherungsgericht des Kantons Solothurn und dem Bundesamt für Gesundheit schriftlich mitgeteilt.
