The appellant filed a social-insurance appeal against a judgment of the Obwalden Administrative Court. After being ordered to pay an advance and granted an extension, she still did not pay. The Federal Supreme Court therefore did not enter into the appeal in summary proceedings. It left open whether the later stated withdrawal of the appeal was formally valid. No court costs were charged.
Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG; Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG: Non-payment of the required advance costs within the original or extended time limit justifies non-entry in simplified procedure. The court need not examine the merits. If the procedural outcome so warrants, it may waive court costs under Art. 66 Abs. 1 sentence 2 BGG. A subsequently declared withdrawal can remain open where non-entry is already mandatory for failure to pay the advance.

in das Schreiben von X.________ für seine Tochter H.________ vom 24. März 2008,
in Erwägung,
dass die Beschwerdeführerin den Vorschuss auch innerhalb der Nachfrist nicht geleistet hat,
dass deshalb gestützt auf Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG auf die Beschwerde nicht einzutreten ist und in Anwendung von Art. 66 Abs. 1 Satz 2 BGG auf die Erhebung von Gerichtskosten verzichtet wird,
dass angesichts dieses Verfahrensausganges offen bleiben kann, ob der u.a. am 24. März 2008 erklärte Rückzug des Rechtsmittels in formgültiger Weise erfolgt ist,
erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Verwaltungsgericht des Kantons Obwalden und dem Staatssekretariat für Wirtschaft schriftlich mitgeteilt.
