P. appealed a Federal Administrative Court decision in disability insurance matters to the Federal Supreme Court. The Court found the appeal inadmissible because the missing copy of the challenged decision was not submitted within the grace period and the appeal also failed to comply with the formal requirements of the Federal Supreme Court Act. The Court therefore issued a simplified non-entry decision. Exceptionally, no court costs were imposed.

Nach Einsicht
in die Beschwerde des P.________ vom 7. September 2009 (Poststempel) gegen einen Entscheid des Bundesverwaltungsgerichts,

in Erwägung,
dass der Beschwerdeführer den ihm u.a. vom Gericht gemäss Art. 42 Abs. 5 BGG angezeigten Formmangel der fehlenden Beilage (angefochtener Entscheid) nicht innerhalb der ihm am 16. September 2009 angesetzten, am 28. September 2009 abgelaufenen (Art. 44 - 48 BGG) Nachfrist behoben hat, weshalb schon aus diesem Grunde ein unzulässiges Rechtsmittel vorliegt,

dass die Beschwerde überdies den in Art. 42 Abs. 1 und 2 BGG statuierten Formerfordernissen offensichtlich nicht zu genügen vermag (BGE 134 II 244 E. 2.1 S. 245 f.), und der Versicherte auch nach dem Hinweis des Bundesgerichts auf die innert der Beschwerdefrist noch bestehende Möglichkeit der Behebung des Mangels keine Verbes- serung eingereicht hat,

dass deshalb im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a und b BGG auf die offensichtlich unzulässige Beschwerde nicht einzutreten ist,
dass in Anwendung von Art. 66 Abs. 1 Satz 2 BGG auf die Erhebung von Gerichtskosten ausnahmsweise verzichtet wird,
dass in den Fällen des Art. 108 Abs. 1 BGG der Abteilungspräsident zuständig ist,

erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

2.
Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.

3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Bundesverwaltungsgericht, Abteilung III, und dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen schriftlich mitgeteilt.
