Evidence predating the prior final decision cannot, by itself, establish a later worsening; evidence submitted only before the Federal Supreme Court is inadmissible unless it satisfies Art. 99(1) BGG. If the lack of a credible deterioration is clear, the appeal may be decided in simplified procedure and costs follow the outcome.

Beschwerde gegen den Entscheid des Versicherungsgerichts des Kantons Solothurn vom 1. Oktober 2008.

In Erwägung,
dass H.________ Beschwerde in öffentlich-rechtlichen Angelegenheiten gegen den Entscheid des Versicherungsgerichts des Kantons Solothurn vom 1. Oktober 2008 betreffend den Anspruch auf eine Rente der Invalidenversicherung nach Neuanmeldung erhoben hat,
dass mit Verfügung vom 24. Dezember 2008 das Gesuch des H.________ um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege wegen Aussichtslosigkeit der Beschwerde abgewiesen worden ist,
dass die Vorinstanz nach Würdigung der seit Erlass der (unangefochten gebliebenen) Verfügung vom 26. April 2007 eingereichten medizinischen Unterlagen zum Schluss gelangte, es stehe fest, dass der Beschwerdeführer - welcher am 30. August 2007 eine Neuanmeldung eingereicht hatte - keine relevante Verschlechterung seines Gesundheitszustandes glaubhaft machen könne, weshalb sie die Nichteintretensverfügung vom 12. Oktober 2007 bestätigte,
dass diese Feststellung auf einer bundesrechtskonformen Auffassung vom Beweisgrad des Glaubhaftmachens (Art. 87 Abs. 4 in Verbindung mit Abs. 3 IVV) beruht und nicht offensichtlich unrichtig ist (vgl. Art. 105 Abs. 1 und 2 BGG),
dass der Bericht des Dr. med. G.________ vom 12. Dezember 2006 bereits vor der Abweisung des Rentenbegehrens am 26. April 2007 erstattet und zu den Akten gegeben wurde, weshalb sich eine seitherige Verschlechterung des Gesundheitszustandes nicht aus ihm allein ergeben kann,
dass die Berichte des Spitals X.________ vom 7. Februar 2008 und des Spitals Y.________ vom 7. April 2008 unzulässig sind (Art. 99 Abs. 1 BGG) und ohnehin nicht den massgeblichen Zeitraum vom 26. April bis 12. Oktober 2007 betreffen, ganz abgesehen davon, dass die darin erwähnten Befunde offensichtlich nicht invalidisierend sind,
dass die Beschwerde offensichtlich unbegründet ist und daher im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 109 Abs. 2 lit. a und Abs. 3 BGG erledigt wird,
dass der Beschwerdeführer als unterliegende Partei die Gerichtskosten zu tragen hat (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG),
erkennt das Bundesgericht:

Die Beschwerde wird abgewiesen.

2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Versicherungsgericht des Kantons Solothurn und dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen schriftlich mitgeteilt.
