The appeal in a social-insurance pension matter was withdrawn by letter of 1 December 1999. The Ticino Cantonal Insurance Court therefore found the case moot and ordered it struck from the docket. It further decided that no court fees or costs would be collected. The decision was issued by delegated judge Raffaele Guffi on 4 January 2000.
Procedural withdrawal of an appeal; once the appellant communicates withdrawal, the court strikes the case from the docket for lack of предмет of adjudication. In such circumstances, the proceedings are terminated without a merits ruling; the court may also order that no fees or costs be charged, depending on the applicable procedural law (cf. consid. 1-2).
