The appellants challenged the Ticino Government's resolution approving the zoning plan of the municipality. Before the planning court decided the merits, the appellants' lawyer informed the court that the appeal was withdrawn. The court held that the case had become moot and struck it from the docket. It further ordered that no taxes or costs be collected.
Withdrawal of an appeal before the planning court renders the proceedings devoid of object; the court must strike the matter from the docket and, absent special circumstances, may order that no court fees or costs be levied. The decision is procedural and does not address the merits of the zoning-plan approval (cf. consid. implicit).
