Whether the appeal against the 5 May 2016 decision was directly admissible
The appeal was not directly admissible because the decision had to be challenged first by opposition before the social insurance body.
Under Art. 52 LPGA, decisions of social insurers are subject to opposition within 30 days, and only the opposition decision may then be appealed; under Art. 22 LAFam, this also applies in the field of family allowances.
