In an appellate procedural order, the Obergericht held that a service address or service agent designated in first instance under Art. 140 ZPO continues to apply automatically in the appeal proceedings. The same applies where a party did not comply with the request to designate a service address and the first-instance decision was therefore notified by publication. In such a situation, the appellate court may and must likewise notify its decision by publication in the official gazette.
Art. 140 ZPO; Fortwirkung des Zustellungsdomizils im Rechtsmittelverfahren. Die in erster Instanz erfolgte Bezeichnung eines Zustellungsbevollmächtigten bzw. Zustellungsdomizils gilt ohne Weiteres auch für das anschliessende Rechtsmittelverfahren. Entsprechendes gilt, wenn die Partei der Aufforderung nicht nachgekommen ist und die Eröffnung des Entscheids deshalb durch Publikation erfolgte; auch das Rechtsmittelgericht hat seinen Entscheid in diesem Fall durch Publikation zu eröffnen (E. 2.2).
Art. 140 ZPO, Zustellungsdomiz il. Die Bezeichnung eines Domizils wie auch die Auflage dazu gelten in der Rechtsmittelinstanz weiter.

2.2 (...) Wenn eine Partei in erster Instanz einen Zustellbevollmächtigten im Sinne von Art. 140 ZPO bezeichnet, gilt das ohne Weiteres auch für das anschliessende Rechtsmittelverfahren. Entsprechendes ist anzunehmen, wenn die Partei der Aufforderung nicht nachgekommen ist und die Entscheide daher durch Publikation mitgeteilt worden sind: auch das Obergericht kann (und muss) seine Entscheide der Partei durch Veröffentlichung im Amtsblatt eröffnen.
