IN RE TAMMY BROWN, Relator
ORIGINAL PROCEEDING
WRIT OF MANDAMUS
55th District Court
Harris County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 2026-25790
MEMORANDUM OPINION
Relator Tammy Brown filed a petition for writ of mandamus challenging the
trial court’s September 14, 2026 “Order Denying Application for Temporary
Restraining Order.” Mandamus is an extraordinary remedy that will issue only to
correct a clear abuse of discretion when there is no adequate remedy by appeal. In
re Prudential Ins. Co. of Am., 148 S.W.3d 124, 135–38 (Tex. 2004) (orig.
proceeding). After reviewing relator’s petition and appendix, we conclude that she
2
has not demonstrated entitlement to mandamus relief. Accordingly, we deny her
petition for writ of mandamus.
PER CURIAM
Panel consists of Justices Jewell, Hart, and Bridges.
