On October 1, 2026, we dismissed this appeal due to Appellant’s failure to pay the filing
fees. On October 2, 2026, Appellant filed a “Motion for Rehearing and Reinstatement.” In the
motion, Appellant stated that she was unaware of the filing fee issue and that she inadvertently
overlooked the notice issued by the Clerk of this Court informing her of the need to either pay the
fee or establish a right to proceed without payment. Appellant also requested that we reinstate the

appeal and permit her “to establish indigency and proceed without payment of costs.” Finally,
Appellant filed a document styled, “Statement of Inability to Afford Payment of Court Costs.”
On October 8, 2026, after considering Appellant’s motion and statement of inability to pay
costs, we determined that the statement was deficient and ordered Appellant to file an amended
statement providing sufficient statements of fact to establish her inability to afford payment of
costs.
On October 15, 2026, Appellant filed an “Amended Statement of Inability to Afford
Payment of Court Costs,” which provides additional factual assertions regarding her ability to
afford payment of court costs.
We REQUEST a response to the “Motion for Rehearing and Reinstatement” from the
appellee. See Tex. R. App. P. 49.2. The appellee need only file a response if the appellee objects to
or opposes the motion for rehearing. Any response to the motion must be filed no later than October
26, 2026.
