DIVIDING COUNTIES INTO EIGHT CLASSES
                 Act of Jul. 10, 1919, P.L. 887, No. 351              Cl. 16
                                  AN ACT

     Dividing the counties of this Commonwealth into eight classes;
        designating the mode of ascertaining and changing the
        classification of counties; and providing for the regulation
        of their affairs according to their respective classes.

     concurring opinion expressed the thought that counties had never
     been classified as had cities; and
        Whereas, The General Assembly has heretofore for the purposes
     of legislation on particular subjects classified counties
     without regard to any uniformity or general classification, many
     of which acts have been declared unconstitutional; and
        Whereas, The great diversity in population and the physical
     condition of the several counties requires separate laws for
     their government and the regulation of their affairs; therefore,
        Section 1.  (1 repealed Feb. 5, 1982, P.L.7, No.3)
