Pennsylvania Act 2011-19 — HONOR AND REMEMBER FLAG ACT - ENACTMENT

AN ACT

Adopting the Honor and Remember Flag as an official flag to recognize and honor fallen members of the armed forces; and imposing duties on the Department of General Services.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. Short title.

This act shall be known and may be cited as the Honor and Remember Flag Act.

Section 2. Official adoption of flag.

The Honor and Remember Flag created by Honor and Remember, Inc., is hereby adopted as this Commonwealth's emblem of the service and sacrifice of the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Section 3. Duty of Department of General Services.

The Department of General Services shall forthwith arrange for and permanently place the Honor and Remember Flag in Soldiers' Grove.

Section 4. Effective date.

This act shall take effect immediately.
