dass X.________ seine Beschwerde vom 28. Februar 2012, die er gegen den am 19. Oktober 2011 ergangenen Entscheid der Rekurskommission des Kantons Bern für Massnahmen gegenüber Fahrzeugführerinnen und Fahrzeugführern einreichte, mit Schreiben vom 13. März 2012 zurückgezogen hat;
dass es sich rechtfertigt, für das bundesgerichtliche Verfahren keine Kosten zu erheben;
wird verfügt:

Die Beschwerde im Verfahren 1C_134/2012 wird als durch Rückzug erledigt abgeschrieben.
2.
Es werden keine Kosten erhoben.

Diese Verfügung wird dem Beschwerdeführer, dem Strassenverkehrs- und Schifffahrtsamt des Kantons Bern sowie der Rekurskommission des Kantons Bern für Massnahmen gegenüber Fahrzeugführerinnen und Fahrzeugführern und dem Bundesamt für Strassen schriftlich mitgeteilt.
