The Federal Supreme Court considered an application of 31 October 2003 challenging its judgment of 2 September 2003. Against judgments of the Federal Supreme Court no ordinary remedy lies before the same court other than revision; where the conditions for elucidation are likewise absent, the filing must be declared non-entered. A recusal request must state legally cognizable grounds under Arts. 22 ff. OG; a bare request without substantiation is insufficient. Costs follow the outcome under Art. 156 Abs. 1 OG.

Das Bundesgericht hat nach Einsicht
in die Eingabe von M.________ vom 31. Oktober 2003, in welcher er das Urteil des Bundesgerichts 1P.440/2003 vom 2. September 2003 kritisiert;
in Erwägung,
dass M.________ in seiner Eingabe zwar den Ausstand verschiedener Gerichtspersonen verlangt, indessen keine Ausstandsgründe im Sinne der Art. 22 f. OG nennt,
dass sich M.________ auf Art. 136 OG beruft,
dass die Eingabe nach Ablauf der Frist gemäss Art. 141 lit. a OG eingereicht wurde, weshalb sie nicht als Revisionsgesuch entgegengenommen werden kann,
dass gegen Urteile des Bundesgerichts kein anderer Rechtsbehelf an das Bundesgericht als die Revision zur Verfügung steht und auch die Voraussetzungen einer Erläuterung im Sinne von Art. 145 OG nicht erfüllt sind,
dass das Bundesgericht im erwähnten Urteil dargelegt hat, dass die eidgenössische Nichtigkeitsbeschwerde nicht gegeben war,
dass M.________ entsprechend dem Ausgang des Verfahrens die Gerichtskosten zu bezahlen hat (Art. 156 Abs. 1 OG),
dass das Bundesgericht in Aussicht nimmt, weitere Eingaben von M.________ in dieser Sache ohne Antwort abzulegen,
im Verfahren nach Art. 143 Abs. 1 OG erkannt:

Auf die Eingabe vom 31. Oktober 2003 wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Die Gerichtsgebühr von Fr. 500.-- wird dem Gesuchsteller auferlegt.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird dem Gesuchsteller, dem Einzelrichter in Strafsachen des Bezirks Pfäffikon, der Staatsanwaltschaft, dem Obergericht, III. Strafkammer, und dem Kassationsgericht des Kantons Zürich schriftlich mitgeteilt.
