Before judgment, he declared that he wished to withdraw the appeal. The Court took note of the withdrawal, struck the case from the docket, and ordered that no court costs be charged. The order was issued by the President of the II Civil/Public Law Chamber, Judge Merkli, with the clerk Charif Feller.

Where the appellant withdraws the remedy, the Federal Supreme Court takes note of the withdrawal and removes the case from the docket. Costs are governed by Art. 66 al. 2 LTF; in view of the circumstances, the Court may dispense with judicial fees. The ancillary cost question is determined together with the discontinuance of the proceedings and, by virtue of Art. 71 LTF in conjunction with Art. 5 al. 2 PCF, the applicable federal procedural rules on costs and expenses remain relevant.

Considérant:
que, le 20 novembre 2007, X.________ a recouru auprès du Tribunal fédéral contre la décision de la Commission de recours de l'Université de Genève du 11 octobre 2007,
que, le 20 décembre 2007, le recourant a déclaré vouloir retirer son recours,
qu'il convient de prendre acte du retrait du recours (cf. art. 32 al. 2 LTF), de rayer la cause du rôle et de statuer sur le sort des frais et dépens (cf. art. 5 al. 2 PCF par renvoi de l'art. 71 LTF),
que, compte tenu des circonstances, il se justifie de statuer sans frais (cf. art. 66 al. 2 LTF),
par ces motifs, le Président ordonne:

La cause est rayée du rôle par suite de retrait du recours.
2.
Il n'est pas perçu de frais judiciaires.
3.
La présente ordonnance est communiquée au recourant, à la Faculté de Psychologie et des Sciences de l'éducation de l'Université de Genève, à l'Université de Genève ainsi qu'à la Commission de recours de l'Université de Genève.
